About us
Sibilia is a modern line of brass jewelry and home accessories handmade in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Based in the historic Abasto district, famous for its tango and filigrana, the brand draws from Latin American art and culture, combining it with artisanal know-how to create hand- molded pieces full of color and character.
From jewelry to mobiles and tabletop objects, Sibilia’s collections celebrate form, texture and playful experimentation. Color is at the core of the brand: patinas, pigments and finishes are mixed in endless combinations, making each piece feel unique and alive.
The studio is a dreamy, jungle-like space filled with tools, paints, books and souvenirs from Fernanda’s travels, postcards, masks, dolls, statuettes, alongside volumes on Noguchi, Man Ray, Matisse and Domus magazines. It feels part workshop, part playground.
Every piece is handmade from scratch, from initial sketch to final packaging. Brass sheets and wires are cut, welded, polished, painted and lacquered with patience and skill. Nothing is outsourced; everything is crafted in-house.
Sustainability is central to the studio’s production. Pieces are made to order, minimizing overstock, and all unused metal is recycled.
Sibilia’s work is sold worldwide at specialty shops and leading cultural institutions. Collaborations include the Victoria & Albert Museum, Guggenheim, The Metropolitan Museum of Art, MoMA, and the Georgia O’Keeffe Museum.
Founded by Fernanda Sibilia, the brand reflects her dual love for metal and color. Fernanda describes color as both her signature and her language. For three decades she has manipulated brass like an alchemist in her lab.Fernanda works closely with her nephew Julián, who specializes in mobiles and intricate figures, along with taking care of design Together, in trust and harmony, they form a team where wisdom and creativity flow freely and become art.
